November at Watkins’s new Wedgewood-Houston gallery features Tumble Dry, a performance piece by Kay Kennedy, an interdisciplinary artist living in Nashville. Kennedy works in a variety of mediums including sculpture, installation, video, and performance. Her pieces are often collaborative and frequently engage a group or community. She received her BFA from Watkins in 2017. In 2016, she co-founded Patchbay, an experimental art and new music program. When Kennedy is not pursuing her personal practice, she works as the education director of Monthaven Arts & Cultural Center and teaches for Healing Arts Project Incorporated.
