The world needs more substance.
A fundraiser to support the emerging artists at Watkins College of Art
Glimpse—Watkins’s annual fundraising celebration of creativity and its transformative powers—once again introduced art lovers and the art-curious to up-and-coming talents whose work the public would be wise to know and collect now.
During the one-night-only affair, which in 2018 took the theme of the five senses, Watkins unveiled the identities of the mystery Glimpse artists and also offer their curated works for sale. The artists included: Caitlin Ackerman, Chris Adams, Sam Angel, Natalie Briscoe, Evin Dubois, Haley Grubor, Brady Haston, Karen Matkosky, Alison Miyauchi, Joseph Newsome, Huy Nguyen, Ashley Obel, Mark Schlicher, Terry Thacker, Josh Ungurait, and Rachael Wojdyla.
Guests were treated to creative small plates and exotic drink pairings, live music, an interactive installation, games, and a silent auction featuring rare bourbons and scotch donated by Market Basket Liquors. View the celebration photos and video below.
