Digital Photography Foundations: Photoshop Printmaking

Building on techniques learned in Digital Photography Foundations: Capturing Images with an SLR, this class
will teach you to use Photoshop as a digital darkroom to make your photos look better on screen and in prints.
Through hands-on learning in Photoshop and inkjet printing, you’ll learn foundational digital darkroom skills
that will give you creative greater control over the look of your photographs, and develop an understanding of
exposure, contrast, color, black-and-white conversion, dodging and burning, and saturation. The class
culminates with each student making a 16×20 print using the skills and techniques they learned during the
course. Students will need to bring their own digital photo files to work on. (no class March 28)
