In our Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design program, you’ll develop your capacity to create fun and arresting visual pieces that help people, businesses, and missions thrive.

As you venture into the dynamic and forward-thinking world of graphic design, you will:

  • hone fabrication and production techniques in a wide range of print and digital media
  • employ research-based strategies and methods for connecting with target audiences

  • develop a professional-level portfolio with samples from genres such as package design, logo development, corporate identities, illustration, and editorial design

Our graphic design professors are also accomplished professionals—well-positioned to provide an insider’s perspective on launching a career with a top agency or as a design consultant. And Watkins graphic design students are a perennial force, recently bringing home 34 prizes from the Student ADDY awards competition sponsored by the American Advertising Federation Nashville. They also are routinely juried into international exhibitions for Graphis and the Society of Illustrators.
