Established in 1885, Watkins College is a private, not for profit, college of visual arts offering BFA degrees in photography, interior design, film, fine arts, illustration, and graphic design, as well a BA in art, and the MFA in film production. All programs at Watkins are accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges, (SACSCOC) and by the National Association of Schools of Art and Design (NASAD). Watkins is also a member of the Association of Independent Colleges of Art and Design (AICAD), a nonprofit consortium of 42 leading art schools in North America.

Watkins College of Art welcomes applications for the following position:

Recruitment Specialist

Recruitment Specialist is a front-line position requiring a dynamic, highly personable, and results-oriented individual to represent the College both in person and online to prospective students and their supporters.

Duties:

• Collaborate on strategic planning initiatives and assist in effective plan deployment to meet enrollment goals
• Travel to meet with prospective students and their supporters
• Provide or facilitate workshops, demonstrations, and other recruiting events, both in-house and at recruitment locations
• Assist in review and administration of admission materials, including portfolio reviews
• Other duties as assigned

The Recruitment Specialist will report to the Vice President, Strategic Enrollment Management.

Qualifications

The successful candidate must possess exceptional interpersonal and organizational skills and be a highly motivated, results-oriented individual. Our ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree, preferably in visual arts or design, and a minimum of three (3) years experience in student recruitment. The individual will possess excellent presentation and communication skills, including expertise in Microsoft Office and client management systems.

This is a full-time position, with an excellent benefits package, including health insurance.

The recruiting specialist will be required to travel extensively and be available to work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends. The successful candidate will possess a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. The starting range of pay is dependent upon skills, education, and experience.
