Career Services

The Career Service Office assists current students and alumni with the management of career planning, with a focus on building their resume.  Students are contacted regarding information on job opportunities specific to their major.  The office maintains relationships with the community to create and provide direct opportunities for students and alumni of Watkins College of Art, Design & Film.

The goal of the Career Service Coordinator is to provide students with work experience related to their field of study and to guide them to pursue their professional ambitions.  Some of the opportunities will be eligible for academic internships. Academic internships are approved by the department chairs of each respective program. Students are encouraged to get involved with the many opportunities available to them so that they can build their resumes prior to graduation.

Students are welcome to contact the Career Service Coordinator to set up an appointment for resume consultation and job search strategies.

The Career Service Office provides placement services and job strategies for graduates of Watkins College of Art, Design & Film.

The Career Service Coordinator fosters professional relationships between alumni, students and employers in the Nashville community. Alumni are encouraged to participate in career-related events, workshops and seminars hosted by Watkins. Alumni are invited to utilize the many professional development resources that are available through the Career Service Office. Internet resources, library resources, and career counseling appointments are available to Watkins Alumni.
