pARTy 2013 Live Auction Rules
Live Auction Rules
for trips to Venice, Italy, to New York City and Los Angeles
To bid in the Live Auction, raise your yellow bid card (provided at the check-in) above your head, with the number oriented toward the auctioneer.
A bid acknowledgment by the Auctioneer is a legal contract to purchase the item.
Bids will be accepted until no one bids further, in which case the item will be declared sold to the high bidder.
Every attempt has been made to provide the best and most accurate description for each auction item or service. We apologize for any inadvertent errors.
Items purchased are accepted on an “as is” basis unless specified in the item description or on the item poster. Watkins College of Art, Design & Film makes no warranty or guarantee.
By his/her purchase, the buyer waives any claims for liability against Watkins.
Watkins may not be held responsible for any personal injuries or damages which may result from the use of property or services sold.
Watkins reserves the right to withdraw any item at any time before the auction.
Please note any expiration date(s) or special instructions with each item or certificate. If no expiration date is listed, the certificate is good for one year.
Bids lower than the minimum stated bid will not be considered valid.
You may bid as many times as you like and on as many items as you would like.
When raising the bid on an item, the bid must be raised by the minimum amount announced. Bidding is in whole dollars only.
The highest bidder listed at the time of closing will become the owner of the item. Payment must be made at the check out table with payment by cash, check or credit card (Visa or MasterCard).
If an item is purchased by a group of individuals, payment must be made by only one member of the group. No split payments allowed.
All sales are final. No refunds, no exchanges.
If you purchase an item and your payment exceeds the fair market value, the difference can be a charitable contribution. Please consult your professional tax preparer.
