With Stanfield’s guidance, artists make use of their newfound knowledge by creating an action plan of how to put these lessons to work in their careers. The Saturday session runs 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and Sunday’s is 9:30 a.m. to noon; check out the schedule here.

Stanfield reveals that her workshops are more than the content-rich sessions she leads; there is a great deal of “networking that goes on between the artists in the room. I carefully craft networking moments throughout the workshop and am delighted at the synergy in the room. It almost always continues well beyond the workshop room.” With so many opportunities for creatives throughout the state, Stanfield shares, “I’m super excited to come to Tennessee.”

Studio artist Donna Branch volunteered to head this workshop for TACA because of her passion for Stanfield’s lessons. “After working with Alyson for several years, I’ve found that her guidance is always ‘spot on.’   I’ve always enjoyed her direct approach and working with her individually definitely increases the level of accountability.”
