Wayne White Lecture

Watkins College of Art, Design & Film is pleased to present a spirited evening with Wayne White, three-time Emmy winner for his set and puppet designs for Pee-wee’s Playhouse. The L.A.-based artist art directed two seminal music videos, Peter Gabriel’s “Big Time” and Smashing Pumpkins’ “Tonight, Tonight,” and has exhibited paintings and sculptures internationally. A monograph of White’s 30 year career, “Maybe Now I’ll Get The Respect I So Richly Deserve,” edited by Todd Oldham, was recently published by Ammo Books. The artist’s lecture will begin at 6pm in the Watkins Theatre following a 5pm reception. The reception and lecture are free and open to the public.
