This is a full-time, hourly, non-exempt position with all the benefits of full-time employment as described the Operations and Guidelines Manual. This person reports to the Assistant Director of Facilities.
Greet all people entering the school. Determine if the person needs a visitor ID badge.
Answer the phones, answer caller’s questions or connect them with the appropriate party.
Check out keys to faculty and authorized students.
Watch for any suspicious activities or persons around the building.
Respond to any medical emergencies with skills learned in first aid training.
Make building occupants aware of any weather emergencies and proper response protocol.
Night Facilities Manager will be primary point of contact with the security guard.
During shift change, communicate with the officer about campus activity as well as any special instructions for the night.
Night Facilities Manager will be on the contact list for both security guards and alarm monitoring.
Night Facilities Manager will be first point of contact for Residence Hall RA’s in emergency situations occurring at night.
Monitor the state of the building, addressing, if possible, any issues that may occur and notifying Facilities Director of any areas needing attention.
Facilitate any events going on in the building at night, assisting with any equipment needs.
Night Facilities Manager will be first point of contact for Dorm RA’s in facilities situations occurring at night.
During the times when the building may close early, the Night Facilities Manager may take on more facilities duties, including but not limited to: helping with day-to-day maintenance issues, cleaning/prepping dorms, renovations/repairs around campus and other duties as assigned.
Education, Experience, Skills or Requirements
Some College preferred. Experience working with the public and/or in an educational environment preferred. Experience with Microsoft Word/Excel/ Google Docs.
