Watkins Alumni Talents Shine at Addy Awards

Graduates of Watkins Graphic Design Department* received an impressive 49 total honors at the American Advertising Federation Nashville’s 2012 ADDY celebration, held February 25 at Limelight. Nearly 400 people representing 60 agencies in the Nashville advertising community gathered to recognize the best work of the past year at the 47th annual awards presentation.

Leading the way with 16 nods were two Class of 2009 standouts:  Teela Shandess and Sean Williams.    Other alumni in the winner’s circle were Lindsey Armstrong (four)David Higdon (three)Andrew Brooks, Katie deSouza, Shelby Rodeffer and Nat Strimpopulos (two each); and Jeff Jacobs and Stephen Jones. Watkins adjunct Bryce McCloud earned eight prizes, all in collaboration with Williams.

A very proud Dan Brawner, department chair, proclaimed, ”The market employs our grads because they are smart, skilled, and wickedly creative!”
