Interior Design brought unique execution to a traditional idea for their entry in the Junior League of Nashville’s inaugural “Hall of Trees,” featured at JLN’s fifth annual ’Tis the Season Holiday Marketplace fundraiser (November 18-20 at the Nashville Convention Center) .The frame of the 7-foot Christmas tree, built of foam core board, was completely covered in 8”x12” Porter Paint samples, with the colors gradating from white to forest green. Interior Design students Emily Hill, Reinalisa Santoyo and Whitney Sims assisted Watkins professors with the construction.
Special thanks to Troy Harper, Architectural Coatings Representative and Color Specialist for Porter Paints, who sponsored the design effort.
Pictured in the Hall of Trees are students Reinalisa Santoyo, department chair Jennifer Overstreet, and students Emily Hill and (kneeling) Chris Maniscalco.
The tree (“whose branches green delight us”) is currently on display in the Watkins main lobby.
