The ever popular Graphic Design Senior Show is slated for Friday, December 4. This year’s theme is Taking Flight, focusing on the launch of the careers of the program’s eight December graduates: Random Allen, Julian Baker, Craig Gwin, Lydia Light, Holly Mathews, Teela Shandess and Andy Young. Throughout their careers at Watkins, these students have competed on a national and international level with students and professionals alike. The Bachelor of Fine Arts Senior Thesis exhibition for Candace J. Fasshauer and Claudia Overstreet will open Thursday, December 3, with a reception from 6-9pm in the Brownlee O. Currey, Jr. Gallery on the Watkins campus.
Mandy Stoller’s Senior Thesis Exhibition, Now in 3D!, opens Friday, November 20, at Watkins with a reception from 6-9pm. This exhibition runs through Nov. 30. The College will be closed Nov. 25 and 26.
The annual Yart Sale features student artwork at yard sale prices! Get an early start to holiday shopping at Watkins November 14 from 8am-4pm and November 15 from 1-4pm. Admission is free, but please bring a toy for the Student Government Association Toy Drive. All proceeds benefit student artists.

On Friday, October 9 at 7pm, film students from Nashville's sister city of Magdeburg, Germany will premiere their documentary “Gewendete Leben”, which both commemorates and reflects on life 20 years after the fall of the Berlin wall. The screening will be held in the theater and is free and open to the public. Presented in partnership with Sister Cities of Nashville.
