Senior Thesis Exhibitions Begin April 1

Watkins College of Art, Design & Film is pleased to invite the public to the first of five Bachelor of Fine Arts Senior Thesis Exhibitions celebrating the work of students graduating this May. The first show will feature Cristina Viscu, Melanie Clay and Gary White. This exhibition will run from April 1 – 6. An opening reception will be held on campus on Friday, April 1 from 6-9pm. Epigenetic Design & YOUR Practice, Feb. 4

The Interior Design department is pleased to welcome noted designer and epigenetic design authority Deborah Burnett to campus for an informative workshop that will allow Interior Designers the chance to earn Continuing Education Units. Burnett, a state-registered interior designer, licensed building contractor, author and chair holder of the Color Marketing Group, will speak on “Epigenetic Design & YOUR Practice.” This session will take place in the Watkins theater from 2-5:30pm on Friday, February 4. Interior Design: The Profession, Feb. 3

  Join Watkins’ interior design faculty for a special evening to explore what role interior designers play in the design industry. Discover what interior design is and what it is not. Learn about sustainable design, residential design and technological applications. Painter TL Solien to Speak at Watkins

The 125th Anniversary Artist Lecture Series will close with painter TL Solien, who will lecture on January 27 at Watkins. A reception will begin at 6:15pm followed by the lecture at 7pm in the campus theater. This event is free and open to the public.…more

Closing Reception: Interior Design Student Exhibition

The public is invited to a closing reception for the annual Interior Design Student Exhibition. This reception will be held on Friday, January 21, from 5:30-7:30pm in the Brownlee O. Currey, Jr. Gallery on the Watkins campus. This exhibition is currently on display and can also be viewed on M-F from 9am-8pm, Sat. from 10am-4pm and Sun, from 2-4pm.
