Fine Arts Foundation
Each of our degree seeking students must take basic fine arts foundation
classes. These foundation courses provide a base of knowledge that
students will use in all disciplines such as the use of color, composition,
drawing skills and an appreciation of the visual arts as a whole.
All Watkins students take these courses for the same reason that
all physicians take anatomy and physiology. Because without these
courses our students would have no base on which to build their
discipline specific education. These fine art basics will aid them
in becoming a complete practicing artist.
