Watkins professors exhibit at cheekwood

Brady Haston

There’s more to painting than paint on canvas. Cheekwood Museum of Art presents work by fourteen Tennessee artists who explore different approaches to abstract imagery. Some artists engage photography as a tool to assist them in creating art; others use computers to generate paintings. Some artsts even reject traditional painting entirely in favor of creating site-specific painterly environments. The show includes Watkins professors Brady Haston and Terry Thacker, and opens with a reception Thursday, March 12 @ 6:00 - 8:00 pm.
