Teacher In- service

Watkins is partnering with Cheekwoood Botanical Garden and Museum of Art to offer the professional developement workshop “Cross- Reference: Exploring the Art of Hans Schmidt-Matzen”. The workshop will begin at Cheekwood with a discussion led by Schmidt-Matzen in the gallery space. Participants will then drive to Watkins for lunch and art making activities inspired by the artist’s work and process. Dates the workshop will be offered are Friday, May 4 or Saturday, May 5.

Sustainability in the Built Environment” Seminar Series

Please join registered architect Zach Provonchee and registered interior designer Shonna Sexton every Wednesday in the month of April to inform you of the importance of achieving a sustainable built environment. These two experts in the field of green building and sustainability will deliver lectures, providing insight to the related practices and products.  Continuing Education Units have been applied for through the International Interior Design Association (IIDA) and may be available for these seminars.  Check www.watkins.edu/community for updates.  


The cost for each seminar is $50.  If you sign up for all four at the same time, you will receive a $50 discount. (That is one for free!)
Check-in and reception for each program will begin at 5:30 p.m. with the seminar starting promptly at 6:00 p.m.
