Photography Introduction

A Note from the Chair

robinbwEverything stems from visual explorations and to do that successfully we believe that students must lay the foundation in fine art. Ours is a dynamic program where students gain technical and aesthetic skills in a variety of media including traditional black & white and color photography, alternative processes, digital imaging, experimental video and studio lighting. We offer an opportunity to learn, to build a portfolio, and to acquire the skills necessary for a career as an artist and a photographer. We do not try to make your art fit into a precise box but believe that, through image making experimentation, you will discover your own particular focus, whether it is fine art photography, commercial applications or something completely unexpected.
